The Company - Who We Are
Francis Ward manufactures reusable intermediate bulk containers
(IBCs) and plastic drums for the storage and transport of hazardous
and non hazardous liquids and solids.
Our intermediate bulk containers and plastic drums are used in
a wide variety of applications including chemical distribution,
pharmaceutical processing, food processing, and precious materials
storage.
Plastic moulding
We employ the rotational moulding process to manufacture 20-45
litre capacity drums, liners for composite intermediate bulk containers,
plastic intermediate bulk containers, and for the
rotolining of metal intermediate bulk containers.
Rotational moulding is a low pressure process that involves the
sintering or casting of plastic powders within a metal mould. Moulds
are biaxially rotated at low RPM to produce one piece hollow mouldings.
Rotational mouldings have no seams or joints and the low pressures
involved result in containers with effectively no built in stress.
Rotolining of metallic intermediate bulk containers involves the
use of the IBC as a mould. The plastic powder used to line the
container is formulated to bond to the metal intermediate bulk
container wall and provides a chemically resistant lining.

Metal Fabrication
Our metal fabrication shop is fully equipped to manufacture all
steel intermmediate bulk containers as well as frames for composite
IBCs.
In addition we produce metal storage tanks to meet specific customer
requirements. We can work with steel and stainless steel in a
variety of gauges.
