News: Francis Ward’s Intermediate Bulk Containers Testing
and Repair Service
Francis Ward is launching its new intermediate bulk containers
Testing and Repair (ITR) service for existing customers and all
new customers. Legislation has long been in place to haveintermediate
bulk containers tested periodically every 2.5 and 5 years. However,
Francis Ward only offered a form of servicing, with customers sending
IBCs back to its Bradford site for re-bottling or refurbishment.
Now Francis Ward will offer a
comprehensive testing and repair service offering the choice of
returning the intermediate bulk containerss to its Bradford site
or having its trained engineers on the road visiting customer sites.
Francis Ward understands that there are numerous companies offering
testing and repair of IBCs. Nevertheless Francis Ward believes
it has a real alternative to offer its customers.
Firstly, with experience and knowledge of their products Francis
Ward believes there is no one better in the market place to service
the intermediate bulk containers they manufacture.
Secondly, the company is promoting the ITR service on openness
and honesty to the customer. With a comprehensive knowledge of
the legislation governing intermediate bulk containers, the company
states that it will advise customers of what work needs to be done.
It will not use legislation to mislead customers to carry out unnecessary
work. The customer will approve full costs of any work before Francis
Ward will proceed. Work will not be rushed or corners cut. Francis
Ward places emphasis on ensuring customers IBCs are safe
and legal throughout their service life.
Francis Ward’s ITR service is a professional UN testing
and repair service to keep your intermediate bulk containers fleet
on the road. The company will examine your IBCs to ensure that
they are safe for use. It will replace any worn parts and then
re-certify customer IBCs to enable a speedy return to fleet.
Francis Ward stocks all the appropriate parts and its engineers
are fully trained to repair and test the IBCs back to original
specification. Francis Ward is able, (due to change of company
names and company
owners), to service IBC manufactured under the names Tanks and
Drums, T&D, T&D Bison, Bison IBC Systems and Francis Ward.
Also, due to expert knowledge of the market, Francis Ward will
also service other manufacturers IBCs, when requested by customers.
In addition, the Safety Air Feed, which was launched last year,
has seen a high demand. Currently, Francis Ward is experiencing
a high demand to retrofit the Safety Air Feed to existing pressure
discharge IBCs and to have them fitted to all new pressure
discharge intermediate bulk containers. For those who are unaware,
the Safety Air Feed now allows the air hose to be coupled to the
container at chest height, preventing the need to work on top of
the container. The Safety Air Feed improves the health and safety
regulations for working at heights, but also speeds up the process
of delivering chemicals.
